How Age is Calculated
Age is calculated by finding the difference between your date of birth and the current (or specified) date. The years component counts complete calendar years, months count complete months after the last full year, and days count remaining days after the last full month.
What is leap year age calculation?
For people born on Feb 29 (leap day), their birthday officially falls on Feb 28 or Mar 1 in non-leap years depending on jurisdiction and context. Our calculator treats Feb 28 as their birthday in non-leap years.
Can I calculate age as of a past date?
Yes. Change the "Calculate Age As Of" date to any past or future date to find what your age was or will be on that date.
